Eastern Credit Union Of Trinidad/Tobago Selects US Biometrics Corporation’s AccessQ, PassQ, MemberQ and CentralQ Fingerprint Biometric Authentication Systems

Naperville, Illinois– Eastern Credit Union from St. Joseph, Trinidad is the first Caribbean financial institution to implement a full spectrum of US Biometrics’ multi-factor authentication products at its facilities.

 

Eastern Credit Union has purchased the biometric control system, including hardware and software, with the goal of increasing security by biometrically controlling their strategic assets - logical, software, and physical. The other goal was to increase their employees’ productivity while simultaneously making day to day work tasks more convenient to complete.

 

“There were three things that made this such a simple decision for us,” states Kerry Babb, Manager-Information Systems at Eastern. “First, the breadth of products all being fed from a single data repository makes our life much easier because we now have a single biometric infrastructure for controlling doorways, software, and networks. This makes the maintenance load much lighter on our staff. Secondly, our users only have to enroll once and, as administrators, we have the ability to use those enrollment credentials multiple times. And finally, the speed of implementing was a factor. The installation and configuration can be completed in literally days or a few weeks and not months - for all of it.”

 

PassQ - biometrically manages computer passwords and network logon credentials.

MemberQ - biometrically controls specific software applications that employees may use such as email systems and core application software.

AccessQ – a secure, convenient, and cost-effective method for granting access through a doorway.

CentralQ – allows the storage of credentials including fingerprint profiles, names, addresses, and employee information and provides a mechanism for scheduling access based on authorization levels and time.

CentralQ Reporting – allows administrators to view and report who accessed which resources at specific times.
